Alonzo and Martinez recognized in All America Teams

Katielle Alonzo cemented her place among the elite in collegiate volleyball by earning two of the sport's most coveted honors: being named a 2024-2025 NJCAA First Team All-American and an AVCA Two-Year College First Team All-American. These accolades cap a remarkable season for the star athlete, who was a driving force behind Miami Dade's consistent dominance on the court.

Under Alonzo's leadership, the Miami Dade Sharks continued their tradition of excellence, battling through a challenging season to secure their third consecutive second-place finish at the NJCAA National Tournament. Her powerful presence as both a leader and player was felt in every match, with her ability to deliver in high-pressure moments setting her apart as one of the nation's top talents. 

While Alonzo's achievements grabbed the spotlight, her teammate Mia Martinez also garnered recognition for her stellar contributions to the Sharks' success. Martinez, known for her relentless defensive prowess and ability to rally the team in tough moments, was honored with a spot on the NJCAA All-American Third Team.
