Sharks off to a hot start in Texas
The Sharks kicked off their weekend with a 4 set victory over Weatherford College, improving their season record to 2-0. The Sharks won with set scores of 25-17, 25-27, 25-15, and 25-15.
Miami Dade came out strong in the first set, hitting an impressive .351 with 16 kills and only 3 errors. They comfortably took the set 25-17. Weatherford College responded in the second set, managing to edge out the Sharks 27-25, despite Miami Dade's solid performance.
However, the Sharks regrouped in the third set, dominating with 19 kills and a .310 hitting percentage, while holding Weatherford to a mere 15 points. In the fourth set, Miami Dade sealed their victory with a 25-15 win.
Key contributors for the Sharks included Luana Borsatto, who led the team with 10 kills, and Paulina Agudelo Marín, who was nearly unstoppable with a .444 hitting percentage and 9 kills. Esthefany Rabit also played a crucial role, contributing 7 kills, 4 block assists, and 2 solo blocks.
