Miami Dade College is excited to announce that Luiza Da Cruz has been honored with the prestigious DI FCSAA Volleyball Setter of the Week title. Luiza's outstanding contributions to the team throughout the week have solidified her as a standout player in the conference.

This past weekend, Luiza showcased her exceptional skills by consistently delivering precise and strategic sets to her teammates. Averaging an impressive 13.3 assists over eight sets, she exhibited remarkable court vision and playmaking abilities, elevating the entire team's performance.

Additionally, Luiza demonstrated her versatility by contributing on both offense and defense. With 0.3 kills and 0.4 service aces per set, she consistently made an impact beyond her setting duties. Her impressive defensive statistics further reflected her diligent efforts, with 2.9 digs and 0.1 blocks per set.

In a remarkable display of talent, Luiza showcased her abilities in critical matches against tough competition. In a thrilling five-setter against No. 15 Daytona State, she recorded an impressive 67 assists and 17 digs, a testament to her ability to excel under pressure. Furthermore, in a straight-set victory against No. 14 Polk State, Luiza contributed 39 assists, playing a pivotal role in securing a convincing win.
