MIAMI DADE COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL PLAYER KATIELLE ALONZO EARNS DI FCSAA VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Miami Dade College is thrilled to announce that Katielle Alonzo has been named the DI FCSAA Volleyball Player of the Week. Alonzo's outstanding performance on the court has garnered her this well-deserved recognition.

Throughout the week, Alonzo showcased her exceptional skills, averaging an impressive 4.1 kills and 1.9 digs over seven sets. Not only did she excel in offense, but she also displayed her defensive prowess, posting 1.0 blocks per set. With a remarkable hitting percentage of .322, Alonzo proved a valuable asset to the Miami Dade College volleyball team.

In the faceoff against No. 15 Polk State, Alonzo elevated her game to another level, contributing 15 kills, four digs, and an impressive five blocks. Her dominance on the court played a crucial role in Miami Dade College's victory. Additionally, in the match against Hillsborough, Alonzo recorded 14 kills and nine digs, further exemplifying her versatility and determination.
