Miami Dade College is thrilled to announce that Luiza Da Cruz has been recognized as the DI FCSAA Volleyball Setter of the Week.

Da Cruz's outstanding performance on the court truly sets her apart. Throughout this past weekend's matches, she showcased her remarkable skills and expertise, averaging 12.8 assists over 15 sets. Enhancing the gameplay with her talent, Da Cruz also contributed 0.3 kills and 1.6 digs per set.

Throughout this past weekend's matches, Da Cruz led Miami Dade College to a triumphant 3-1 record. Displaying her exceptional leadership and strategic abilities, Da Cruz orchestrated the team's offensive efforts with finesse, recording four matches of 40+ assists. One particularly notable achievement was a remarkable 49-assist, 10-dig double-double against Northeastern. Additionally, she achieved two matches where she tallied 50+ assists against New Mexico Military (51) and Salt Lake (50).
