MDC Sharks Volleyball Team Shows Dominance in Crystal INNvitational Tournament

The Miami Dade College (MDC) volleyball team concluded their impressive performance in the Crystal INNvitational tournament with a thrilling victory over the Salt Lake Community College Bruins. The Sharks displayed exceptional skill and determination throughout the tournament, ending with an impressive record of 3 wins and one loss.

In their final game of the tournament, MDC Sharks showcased their skills by defeating the Bruins in four exhilarating sets (25-22, 23-25, 25-20, 25-18)—their remarkable tally of 58 kills, 63 digs, nine blocks, and six aces.

Standout player Beatrice Carulli exhibited her versatility and impact on the court, recording 14 kills, 11 digs, three aces, and two blocks. Carulli's exceptional contributions were vital in securing the team's victory.

Esthefany Rabit showcased her exceptional hitting skills with an admirable hitting percentage of .500. Rabit achieved an impressive 15 kills during the final game, including one dig, 1.5 blocks, and three aces. Rabit was also named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.

Furthermore, Mia Martinez demonstrated her defensive prowess by delivering an outstanding performance in the backfield with 23 digs. Martinez was named All-Tournament Libero. 

The Sharks' exciting victory in the Crystal INNvitational tournament has set the stage for their upcoming home game. The team will play their first home game of the season on September 6 at 6:00 p.m. at the Kendall Campus.
