Miami Dade falls to Eastern Florida

In a tough match, the Miami Dade Sharks faced off against Eastern Florida State College, falling 2-0 despite a valiant effort. Eastern Florida dominated much of the play, recording 16 shots, 10 of which were on target. Miami Dade, on the other hand, struggled offensively with only two shots, neither of which were on goal.

The first half was a defensive battle, with both teams heading into halftime tied 0-0. Eastern Florida's pressure finally paid off in the 78th minute when Pheobe Wilson scored an unassisted goal to give her team the lead. They sealed the win in the 87th minute when Lili Baidoe scored off an assist from Kanon Tai.

Miami Dade's goalkeeper, Scarlett Veloza Albarracin, made six saves to keep her team in the game, but the lack of offensive chances ultimately hurt Miami Dade's chances of mounting a comeback. Eastern Florida's goalkeeper, Jessica Reis, recorded a shutout, making four saves to secure the victory.

Despite the loss, the Sharks maintain a record of 9-4. They will take on Polk State on Monday night to close out their season.
