Sharks cruise past #10 ranked Tribunes

In a dominant performance, the Miami Dade Sharks cruised to a 2-0 victory over Monroe Community College. Both goals came from standout forward Julia Gurgel, who delivered a brace and lifted her team to the win.

The first goal came early in the match, as Gurgel struck in the 12th minute with an unassisted effort, putting Miami Dade on the board with a 1-0 lead. Monroe struggled to create opportunities throughout the game, allowing Veloza Albarracin to have an easy day.

Despite Miami Dade's 18 total shots, Monroe's defense held firm until the 83rd minute, when Gurgel scored her second goal of the match off an assist from Luciana Mejia, sealing the 2-0 result.

Scarlett Veloza Albarracin earned the clean sheet for Miami Dade, though she wasn't tested in goal as Monroe failed to produce any offensive threat.

With this win, the Sharks move to 9-3 on the year and will take a couple days off before facing the Polk State Eagles.
