Sharks fall on Sophomore Night

The Miami Dade Sharks women's basketball team lost on Sophomore Night to the Santa Fe Saints 70-53. The Sharks drop to 6-24 on the season.

The Sharks struggled from the field in this matchup just shooting 25% compared to the 37% from the Saints. One bright spot for Miami Dade was freshman Shameir Quimby who scored 28 points and brought down 14 rebounds. She brought her season average to 21.8 points per game. Renae Brant would add 12 points to the Sharks total but it would not be enough as the Saints would have 3 players score 16 points each (Khaleah Douglas, Shakiria Chaney, Joey Delancy).

The Sharks will look to bounce back in their next game against Hillsborough Community College. The game is slated for Monday, March 4th at 5:00 PM.
