Sharks lose at Daytona State

The Miami Dade Sharks Women's basketball team dropped a conference matchup against Daytona State College. Miami Dade drops to 4-20 while the Falcons move to 14-11.

The Sharks were led in this by Quimby who poured in 19 points with 5 assists and 4 rebounds. KaMariya Simmons brought down a double double scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds on the night.

The Falcons had four different players score in double digits in this one with Nia Brown leading them with 16 points and 9 boards. Kendal Moxey would bring down a whopping 16 rebounds while also adding 10 points.

Miami Dade would find themselves down by 16 with 4:19 remaining on the clock. A layup by Madison Snowden cut the deficit down to 14 with 3:13 on the clock. Unfortunately the Sharks offense would go quiet for the next couple of minutes until Basirat Animashaun scored with 1:11 left in the game. Moxey would hit 2 free throws with under 45 seconds left which would extend the lead back to 12. This was eventually too much to overcome as the Sharks lost 77-65.
