Miami Dade College Lady Sharks Display Resilience Despite Loss to Gulf Coast State College Commodores in NWF Classic

The Miami Dade College (MDC) Lady Sharks basketball team demonstrated their tenacity and skill as they faced off against the Gulf Coast State College Commodores in their second game of the NWF Classic. Though the Lady Sharks ultimately fell short with a final score of 53-83, they continued to exhibit their determination and teamwork on the court.

Throughout the game, the Lady Sharks showcased their abilities in multiple facets of the game, recording a total of 39 rebounds, 11 assists, eight steals, and one block.

Leading the team in points, Shameir Quimby delivered an impressive performance with 17 points, accompanied by five rebounds, five assists, three steals, and one block. Similarly, Farida Radwan displayed her prowess with 17 points, contributing two rebounds, one assist, and one steal.

Standout player Vivian Urhobara demonstrated her dominance in the paint, leading the Lady Sharks in rebounds with an impressive 12 rebounds. Urhobara showcased her defensive prowess alongside her rebounding efforts, recording two steals throughout the game.

As the Lady Sharks conclude their participation in the NWF Classic with an overall record of 0-2, they remain determined and focused on their upcoming challenges. Their next endeavor will take them to Americus, GA, where they will participate in the south Georgia Tech Classic on November 24-25. Undeterred by previous outcomes, the Lady Sharks are poised to bounce back and strive for even greater success in the upcoming tournament.
