The Sharks wasted no time jumping ahead, plating seven runs in the first inning. Caroline Mito led off the scoring by crossing home on a groundout from Dana Piri. Gabriela Luz followed with an RBI single, while Emma Van Arman drew a bases-loaded walk to add another run. The highlight of the inning came when Carmela Smith launched a grand slam to deep center field, giving Miami Dade an early commanding lead.

Hillsborough responded with four runs in the bottom half of the first, cutting the deficit to 7-4. Ashley Daniels, Vanessa Neptune, Belen Gomez, and Avery Dorsey each drove in runs to momentarily shift momentum. However, Miami Dade's pitching and defense held strong, keeping Hillsborough off the scoreboard for the remainder of the game.

Then, in the fifth, Miami Dade put the game out of reach with four more runs. Mito crushed a solo home run to right field, and Luz added another RBI single. Ebba Sofia Eriksson sealed the victory with a two-run single to center, capping a strong offensive showing.

Aimi Tohara earned the win on the mound, delivering a solid five-inning performance while allowing seven hits, four earned runs, and striking out five. Miami Dade's offense was led by Luz, who went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, and Smith, who finished with four RBIs on her grand slam. The Sharks totaled 10 hits and displayed patience at the plate, drawing seven walks.
