Big second inning pushes Patriots past Miami Dade

The Miami Dade Sharks softball team dropped Game 2 of their doubleheader against College of Central Florida 9-0, Saturday evening. The Sharks drop now to 18-27 on the year.

The Patriots opened the scoring in the first after an error by the Sharks scored two runs. Then in the bottom of the second, College of Central Florida broke the game open, making the score 7-0. The Patriots then added to their early lead in the third to make it a 9-0 ballgame after three innings. 

One of the few brightspots for the Sharks in this one was Freshman Ty Marie Cervantes who went 2 for 2 at the plate for the Sharks. 

Miami Dade will look to get back on track against State College of Florida, on Tuesday April 23rd. The doubleheader is scheduled for 2 PM and 4 PM.
