Sharks hold on to early 10 run lead

The Miami Dade Sharks defeated the Eastern Florida State College Titans 10-8 in the second game of the doubleheader. Miami Dade now moves to 18-25 on the year. 

The Sharks got off to a fast start as they scored five runs in the second inning after a walk from Gessenia Hernandez which brought in a run and hits from Kiana Kadena and Jimena Kunigami.

Miami Dade would replicate their second inning as they would score five more runs making the score 10-0. 

The Titans would try to mount a comeback as they scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning thanks to singles by Faith Campos, Livie Davis, Mia Sanchez and McKenzie Jewell.

Aimi Tohara would earn the win for Miami Dade today as they tossed six and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking five.

The Sharks will be back in action when they take on the College of Central Florida Patriots on Saturday, April 20th.
