Miami Dade loses pitching duel to the Buccaneers

The Miami Dade Sharks softball team lost 1-0 to the Florida Southwestern Buccaneers in Game 1 of their doubleheader, Tuesday afternoon. Miami Dade is now 10-20 on the season with the loss.

The Sharks and the Buccaneers turned in a pitcher's duel with the only run in the ballgame being a walkoff base knock by Virginia Mambelli. 

Carina Amarilla would toss 6 innings for the Sharks, inducing weak contact the whole game. She would strike out two and walk two in the loss.

Esmee Ames went 7 strong for the Bucs, fanning 10 and only allowing 2 baserunners all game.

Miami Dade will look to bounce back in Game 2 at 4 PM.
