3 hit game from Hernandez leads Sharks past the Titans

The Miami Dade Sharks softball team defeated the Eastern Florida State College Titans 11-4 in the second game of their doubleheader. The Sharks are now 9-18 on the year.

The Titans struck first again, going up 2 to nothing in the early going. Dana Ximena Piri Gallegos hit a three run blast to center field to give Miami Dade the leg up at 3-2.

A double by Faith Campos helped tie the ballgame for the Titans at 3-3.

Gessenia Hernandez came through for Miami Dade with a double in the bottom of the third, bringing in two runs making the score 5-3. The Sharks offense kept their foot on the gas pedal finishing the game scoring 11 runs.

Carina Amarilla would go all seven innings for the Sharks, striking out four and walking four.

The Sharks will look to stay in the win colum when they play College of Central Florida on Saturday at 12 PM and 2 PM
