The Miami Dade Sharks lost 6-1 against the Eastern Florida State College Titans 6-1 in Game 1 of their doubleheader on Tuesday. Miami Dade is now 8-18 on the year.

The Titans scratched the first run today after a single by Jenna Borkey. Dana Ximena Piri Gallegos tied the ballgame at 1, after she scorched a double to the wall. The Sharks offense would be held scoreless for the rest of the game as the Titans kept their foot on the gas. 

Aimi Tohara took the loss for Miami Dade in this one as she went seven innings, surrendering six runs, none earned, while striking out four and walking three. 

Miami Dade will look to bounce back in the second game of their doubleheader against the Titans shortly.
