The Miami Dade Sharks softball team took down the #4 ranked Pioneers in game 1 of their doubleheader, Tuesday afternoon. The Sharks move to 8-12 with the victory.

Jaiden Tretter was the star of the show today, going 3 for 3 and driving in 4 runs. She was a double shy of a cycle.

Indian River struck first in this game after Presley Smith singled, driving in a run.

The Sharks then answered back in the bottom half thanks to a double from Ty Marie Cervantes and a 2 run shot from Tretter to take a 4-1 lead.

In the top of the third, Cambrie Todd would homer to deep center field to tie the ball game up at 4.

Tretter would continue her hot day and triple to give the Sharks the lead right back. 

Aimi Tohara earned the win for the Sharks today as she would toss 7 innings, allowing 4 runs and striking out 1. 

Miami Dade will look to sweep the Pioneers as they take on them again in the second game of their scheduled doubleheader.
