Sharks lose 11-1 in second game of their doubleheader

The Miami Dade Sharks softball team lost the second game of their doubleheader against State College of Florida. The Sharks drop to 7-10 while the Manatees move up to 10-6.

Miami Dade got on the board first in this one after Gessenia Hernandez drew a walk scoring Kiana Kadena.

State College of Florida would jump back into the lead after Kessler homered to left field. Padro would then single and Rosenbaum would walk, each driving in a run.

An offensive rampage by the Manatees in the third inning was enough to blow the Sharks out of the water in today's matchup. State College of Florida would score eight runs on five hits during the flurry.

Carina Amarilla would get the start and the loss for the Sharks in this one throwing one and a third innings, allowing two hits and 3 runs while walking four. Lais Ihy would come in relief and allow six hits and 8 runs, one being earned.

The Sharks will look to get back in the win column as they take on the Buccaneers from Florida Southwestern State College on Saturday. The games are slated for 12 PM and 2 PM.
