The Miami Dade Sharks softball team won 8-0 against the Hawks in the first game of their doubleheader Sunday afternoon. The Sharks are now 7-8 on the season with the victory.

Miami Dade got on the board in the top of the first thanks to a double Dana Ximena Piri Gallegos and a single by Gabriela Luz that brought in 2 runs. Leadoff hitter Kiana Kadena added 2 more RBI's on the day with Tretter and Cervantes also joining in on the fun with 1 RBI each.

Aimi Tohara earned the win for Miami Dade College. She would allow one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out three and walking one.

The Sharks will look to stay hot as they take on Hillsborough in the 2nd game of their doubleheader.
