The Miami Dade Sharks softball team snatched the lead late in this one as they took down Hillsborough 5-3. The Sharks move to 6-8 with the win.

Kiana Kadena put the Sharks on the board in the bottom of the second thanks to an RBI single.

The Hawks tied the ballgame in the top of the fifth thanks to singles by Avery Dorsey and Hannah Lynch. 

Jaiden Tretter answered back with a 2 RBI single in the bottom of the fifth that was eventually the dagger in this ballgame.

Carina Amarilla earned the win in this one throwing 5 innings allowing 4 hits and 3 runs. She would strike out 4 and walk 2 hitters.

The Sharks will take on the Hawks again tomorrow in a doubleheader at 12 PM and 2 PM.
