The Miami Dade Sharks softball team topped Inspiration Academy 5-4 on Saturday after taking the lead late in the game. The Sharks move to 2-5 on the season with the win.

Inspiration Academy got on the board in the top of the first inning after a double, and an error each allowed one run. 

Alexis Ortega doubled, which helped Miami Dade College tie the game at two in the bottom of the first.

The Sharks took the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning after Inspiration Academy committed an error, and Kiana Kadena hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.

Beatrice Nannetti earned the win for Miami Dade. She gave up two hits and two runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out five and walking three. Carina Amarilla led things off in the circle for The Sharks. The righty surrendered two hits and two runs (one earned) over one inning, striking out none and walking one.

The Sharks will look to stay in the win column as they go up against Wallace State Hanceville once again. The game is slated for 11:30 AM.
