Miami Dade held to 3 hits by Chipola

Miami Dade College fell 9-1 on Friday to Chipola College on Friday at CenturyLink Sports Complex. The Sharks drop to 1-5 with the loss.

An RBI double by Dana Ximena Piri Gallegos put Miami Dade on the board in the top of the first.

In the bottom of the second inning, Chipola College went back into the lead after Heaven Bibbs was struck by a pitch, and Arcay walked, each bringing in one run.

Aimi Tohara took the loss for Miami Dade College. The starting pitcher went five and two-thirds innings, surrendering nine runs (three earned) on 13 hits, striking out three and walking one.

The Sharks will look to get back in the win column tomorrow against Inspiration Academy and then Wallace State shortly after.
