Sharks fall 4-3 to College of Southern Idaho

Miami Dade College's effort to come back from down four runs in the sixth inning came up just short, as they fell 4-3 to College of Southern Idaho on Friday. The Sharks drop to 1-4 on the year with the loss to the Golden Eagles.

Beatrice Nannetti took the loss for Miami Dade College. The Italian went three and two-thirds innings, surrendering two runs on four hits, striking out none and walking two.

College of Southern Idaho got on the board in the fourth inning after Haylee Farnsworth homered to center field, driving in two runs.

Miami Dade College made the score 4-3 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Dana Ximena Piri Gallegos homered to left field, driving in two runs. The third run came thanks to an error by College of Southern Idaho.

Miami Dade will take on Chipola in the second leg of a doubleheader as they get a preview of conference play in the early going of this season.
