Miami Dade falls 8-0 to Wallace State

Miami Dade would face Wallace State Community College in the second leg of a doubleheader on Saturday but would fall 8-0 to the #3 ranked team in the NJCAA. The Sharks fall to 1-3 with the loss.

Aimi Tohara got the start for the Sharks in this one going five innings, allowing seven runs (6 earned) on 10 hits, while striking out two and walking four. She would earn the loss in this game as the Lions offense was too strong.

Wallace State would tally 12 hits in this matchup with 3 coming from Tessa Word. Brandyn Phillips and Wheeler would each have two hits of their own as well.

For the Sharks, Kiana Kadena would go 2 for 3 in this one with a triple.

Miami Dade will look to bounce back next weekend when they take on College of Southern Idaho and Chipola College on Friday, February 16. The games are slated for 12 PM and 2:30 PM.
