Miami Dade College President Madeline Pumariega and Director of Athletics Mike Balado have named Giuseppe DePalo the Head Coach for Miami Dade’s Men's Soccer team, bringing the sport back Miami Dade for the first time in 36 years.

DePalo, a native of Milan, Italy, takes over the reins of the Men's soccer program with a wealth of experience and the desire to bring a championship culture to Miami Dade.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University was where DePalo started his coaching career. After serving as an assistant for two years, he took over as head coach of Nova Southeastern University, transforming the program into a competitive force in the South Region.

He was the Oakland Roots SC's General Manager of Technical Staff as well as a Staff Coach for the Seattle Sounders FC. Most recently, DePalo was the Head Coach of the U19 team at Inter Miami FC.

"It's exciting to be the founding coach of MDC's new men's soccer team," Coach DePalo said. "I look forward to working with students and developing a winning program that will serve many generations to come."
