The Miami Dade Sharks and Daytona State Falcons battled to a thrilling 2-2 draw on Tuesday night. Miami Dade struck early, with Facundo Ochoa leading the charge. Ochoa scored twice in the first half, netting his first goal in the 13th minute off an assist from Eduardo Cornejo. He followed up with another goal at the 28-minute mark, again assisted by Cornejo, giving the Sharks a 2-0 lead.
Daytona responded just before halftime, as Bismark Ayamba found the back of the net in the 44th minute, thanks to a setup from Hector Moreno. The momentum shifted further in the second half when Daytona State's Josue Youta equalized in the 75th minute, with an assist from Tommaso Casadei.
Despite the Falcons heavy offensive pressure, outshooting Miami Dade 22-8, the teams remained locked in a stalemate. Miami Dade goalkeeper Will Blease was a key factor, making six saves, while Daytona's Dikola Douglas stopped four shots.
The Sharks will travel this weekend to Georgia as they'll take on Georgia Military College before taking on Oxford College of Emory University.
