The Miami Dade Sharks secured a 2-0 victory over Hill College in the first of two matches they'll play this weekend in Texas.
The game began with Miami Dade asserting their dominance early. In the 13th minute, Facundo Ochoa broke the deadlock by calmly converting a penalty kick, putting Miami Dade ahead 1-0.
Miami Dade doubled their lead in the 32nd minute when Eduardo Cornejo found the back of the net, assisted by Jeremy Levivier. Cornejo's clinical finish effectively sealed the game, as Hill College was unable to mount a comeback.
The Sharks will look to keep the momentum up as they take on host Blinn College tomorrow morning at 11:00 AM.
