Three Sharks Earn All-Conference Honors for Miami Dade
The Miami Dade College Sharks men's basketball team had plenty to celebrate as three of their standout players were named to the 2024-2025 All-Conference Team. Faheim Saintleger Meran led the way with a First-Team selection, while Jamaal Morris and Hassan Belkhaddar secured spots on the Second Team, marking another successful season for the program.
Faheim Saintleger Meran
A dynamic scorer and playmaker, Faheim Saintleger Meran was the driving force behind the Sharks' offense all season. Averaging 14.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game, Meran proved to be a consistent threat on the floor. His 40.1% field goal shooting and 32.4% three-point percentage made him a reliable scorer from all levels, while his ability to create for his teammates made the Sharks' offense flow smoothly.
Meran's leadership and ability to step up in crucial moments solidified his First-Team All-Conference selection. Whether it was a clutch basket in the closing minutes or a key assist to break down the defense, he delivered all season long.
Jamaal Morris
A versatile presence on both ends of the court, Jamaal Morris earned Second-Team All-Conference honors after an impressive season. His well-rounded game saw him average 10.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per contest, showcasing his ability to impact the game beyond just scoring.
Morris was efficient from the field, shooting 43.4%, and his passing ability made him a valuable facilitator in the Sharks' offense. His combination of size, skill, and court vision helped MDC maintain offensive balance throughout the season. Despite shooting just 25.0% from three, Morris made up for it with his ability to attack the paint, create second-chance opportunities with his rebounding and guard the opposing teams best player on a nightly basis.
Hassan Belkhaddar
Rounding out Miami Dade's All-Conference selections was Hassan Belkhaddar, who provided a crucial scoring punch throughout the year. His 11.4 points per game, paired with a 40.8% field goal percentage and 32.1% accuracy from beyond the arc, made him a key contributor for the Sharks.
Belkhaddar's ability to stretch the floor and knock down the long ball added another dimension to the Sharks' attack.
With three players earning All-Conference honors, Miami Dade once again proved itself as one of the premier programs in the region. The Sharks now look to make a run at the State Tournament when they face off against Chipola College in the first round.
