Sharks get off to hot start against Victors Prep
The Miami Dade Sharks men's basketball team dominated Victors Prep with a decisive 99-36 victory. Miami Dade took control early, leading 39-16 at halftime and ramping up the pressure even more in the second half, outscoring Victors Prep 60-20 to seal the win.
Key performances came from Randy Smith, who led the Sharks with 22 points on efficient shooting (8-12 FG, 5-7 3PT) and added five steals. Jamaal Morris contributed 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 steals, providing stability on both ends. Faheim Saintleger Meran chipped in with 9 points and 3 steals, while Bronson Borlace had an impactful 11 points off the bench.
The Sharks out-rebounded Victors Prep 41-28, largely due to strong offensive rebounding with 18 boards, which generated second-chance points. Defensively, Miami Dade's pressure forced 31 turnovers, which translated into fast-break opportunities and contributed to their commanding lead.
