The Miami Dade Sharks men's basketball team was defeated by Tallahassee Community College 69-62 in the Region 8 Men's Basketball Championship Play-In Game. The Sharks are officially eliminated from playoff contention and finish off the 2023-24 season with a 15-17 record.

The Sharks had an even attack in this one with four different players notching double digits but it was not enough to stop Tallahassee as they were more efficient in this one. The Eagles shot an even 50% in this matchup compared to the Sharks 32%.

The game was close in the final minutes with Miami Dade cutting it as close as 3 points thanks to a long range jumper from Esteban Lluberes. The Eagles would then go on an 8 point run with just under two minutes left that was enough to put the Sharks away.

Miami Dade will head into the offseason looking to add the pieces in hopes of a championship run in 2025.
