Sophomore big man Alaaeddine Boutayeb of the Miami Dade Sharks men's basketball team was named as a 2023-24 FCSAA Citrus All-Conference Honorable Mention, as announced by the FCSAA on Friday afternoon. 

Boutayeb, a Division 1 transfer from Arkansas State, had a solid season donning the Sharks uniform averaging 10.9 points per game, 7.4 rebounds per game on 52.2% shooting from the field. Boutayeb is one of three Sharks named to an FCSAA Citrus All Conference team this year.

The big man from Morocco would enjoy one of his biggest games of the year in a win against Santa Fe College on Sophomore Night where he would score 12 points and bring down a monster 18 rebounds. Boutayeb would score double digits in more than half of the games he played in, being an integral part on the offensive and defensive end for Miami Dade.
