Sharks almost pull the game away from the Falcons

The Miami Dade Sharks Men's basketball team fell to Daytona State College 82-78. The Sharks fall to 13-12 while the Falcons move up to 25-1.

The Falcons were able to spoil one John Latimer's best games this season as their balanced attack proved to be too much. Latimer shot 12-22 from the field, scoring 31 points and bringing down 3 rebounds and 1 assist.

The game proved to be a back and forth matchup with the biggest lead in this one being 11 points which was held by the Falcons.

Miami Dade would quickly erase this deficit after a layup from Alaaddine Boutayeb and a three point play from Latimer. Esteban Lluberes would make a three to make the score 74-71 with 1:42 left.

Lluberes again would bring the score within two thanks to 2 made free throws but Kylin Green was able to shut the door for the Sharks by scoring with under 10 seconds left.

The Sharks will look to get back in the win column as they take on St. Petersburg College on Saturday February 17th. The game is scheduled for 4 PM.
