Four Sharks score double digits as they take down Santa Fe

A strong first half from the Sharks pushed them past the Saints 74-62, Wednesday evening. The Sharks improve to 12-9 while Santa Fe moves to 8-13.

Miami Dade opened the gates with a 9-0 run until Panisic hit a three pointer to stop the Sharks attack. With 10:40 remaining in the first, Esteban Lluberes would hit a three pointer to extend the Sharks lead to 11. Miami Dade would go on to double Santa Fe's scoring with 4:56 left to make it 30-15. Freshman Caleb Hannah would go on to score as the first half was winding down to complement his near perfect night from the field

In the 2nd half, Santa Fe would come out red hot going on a 13-2 run, which prompted a timeout from Jorge Fernandez to stop the run. Santa Fe would only get it as close as 5 points before the Sharks would take back control of the game. With 5:25 in the 2nd half, the Sharks would have a 13 point lead thanks to a jumper by Alaaeddine Boutayeb

The Sharks would have a balanced approach in this matchup with Latimer scoring 20, Hannah and Boutayeb each having 16 and Lluberes putting up 11 points of his own.

Miami Dade will look to keep the ball rolling this Saturday when they take on Hillsborough Community College at 4 PM.
