Congrats to D.J Russell a Florida Native, from Jacksonville has been announced player of the week in NJCAA Region VIII. 

DJ Russell contributing with an of Averaged 23.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.5 blocks in two games during the voting period. 

Had 21 points and eight rebounds in the season opener against Chipola; followed that with a double-double – 26 points and 17 rebounds – against NJCAA No. 22 Georgia Highlands in a 106- 102 victory.
