The Miami Dade Sharks baseball team defeated the Eastern Florida State College Titans via a final score of 2-1. With the win, the Sharks not only move up to 28-23 but clinched their spot in the FCSAA Region 8 Playoffs.

The Titans struck first in this ballgame after an error by Miami Dade allowed Cordero to come around and score.

In the bottom of the third, D'Angelo Ortiz would tie the ballgame with a single up the middle. Just two innings later, Ortiz would drive in another run making the score 2-1. 

Enrique Sierra battled on the mound for the Sharks in game 1 of the doubleheader as he tossed six strong innings, allowing four hits and one run. He would strike out four in his outing before handing the ball off to Horacio Cruz for the save. Cruz would toss one inning, striking one Titan and walking two.

The Sharks will look to close out the season on a high note when they take on the Titans in game 2 of their doubleheader. The game is scheduled for 4 PM.
