Miami Dade loses 10-4 on the road

The Miami Dade Sharks baseball team lost game 2 of their 3 game set against the Titans from St. Petersburg. The Sharks drop to 17-16 on the year and 10-7 in conference play.

The Titans got on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning after Esteban Olivares singled, bringing in a run. Then an error by the Sharks allowed St. Pete to score their second run of the inning.

Miami Dade jumped back into the lead with 3 runs in the top of the fifth inning thanks to hits by Michael Petite, D'Angelo Ortiz and Geremy Garcia

St. Pete's offense was able to kick into a different gear in the bottom half of the fifth scoring five runs to take a 7-3 lead. From here on out the Titans pitching was able to shut down the Miami Dade offense.

Enrique Sierra got the start on the bump for the Sharks allowing five hits and two runs over four innings, striking out two and walking three.

The Sharks will look to bounce back in the third game of the doubleheader at 4 PM.
