Miami Dade loses in high scoring affair against the Titans

The Miami Dade Sharks baseball team lost in a high scoring affair against the Titans, 14-11. The Sharks fall to 16-15 with the loss.

After a scoreless top of the first, the Sharks would score 3 to get on the board thanks to hits by Carlos Jacome, Keanu Rodriguez and D'Angelo Ortiz. In the bottom of the second, they would put a crooked number on the board making the score 8-0 in the early going.

St. Pete completely flipped the script in the top of the fourth making the score 10-8 and knocking starter Juan Miguel Fernandez out of the game.

Brandon Vasquez would come in relief for the Sharks but would allow a run to put the Titans back in the lead at 11-10.

In the bottom of the sixth, Maikol Perez would double down the left field line to tie the ballgame at 11 apiece, but this would be the last attack by the Sharks.

The Titans would score 3 more runs in the following innings to put Miami Dade away.

Miami Dade will look to bounce back after the tough loss when they travel up to Clearwater to finish up the 3 game set. The games are slated for 1 PM and 4 PM on Saturday.
