Miami Dade College Lady Sharks opened up their season this past weekend in Ocala, FL home to the Patriots of College of Central Florida. The Sharks went 3-1 Total; winning on the first day over Pasco Hernando State college with a final score 3-0, and falling to the Patriots in a five set thriller 3-2. The Sharks despite their loss held their head high and won both games on Saturday August 24th, against Gulf Coast State College and the Bucs of Florida Southwestern State College. The final score over Gulf Coast State College ended in 3-0 win and a 3-1 win over Florida Southwestern. 
Paola Pimentel contributed with 20 digs avg per game, Scherine Dahoue with 21 Kills and 15 Digs just over Florida Southwestern. Erika Asencio also with 12 kills and 21 digs over Florida Southwestern.
