MDC Volleyball Starts with a Bang

The back-to-back NJCAA National Champion Lady Sharks Volleyball team, lead by Head Coack Kiko Benoit has started the 2018 season with a bang! The Lady Sharks are 10-0, 1-0 in conference. The are ranked #1 in the FCSAA State Coaches Poll and #1 in the NJCAA Poll. The team is lead by a talented and diverse group. The Lady Sharks represent 8 different countries on their roster. Sophomore setter Tiziana Baumrukova, from the Czech Republic who averages over 11 assists per set, Valeria Santos from Puerto Rico is a memeber of the 25+ dig club twice this season (vs. Hillsborough, vs. Daytona State) and averages over 4 digs per set. Sophomore OH/RS Valeria Alegrias from Colombia averages 2.94 kills per set, 2.29 digs per set and sophomore Fiorella Murillo averages 2.67 kills per set and 3.10 digs per set. The Lady Sharks will be hosting the Shark Invitational this weekend at Miami Dade College, Kendall Campus
