The 2019 Miami Dade College Women's Basketball Team had their first Fall Term Team meeting on the beautiful venue of MDC Pool Side Deck. The team and coaches had a special surprise guest appearance by Dr. Pascale Charlot, MDC Kendall Campus President. Dr. Charlot who welcomed the team to MDC Kendall Campus and gave an inspirational talk on topics that ranged from academics, student life on the campus,the role and impact of athletics and sports, community,and that Miami Dade College as a whole will embrace you as a student-athlete on your journey to success while embarking on your role as a college student at the nation's leading institution of higher learning.
The team enjoyed food, music, fun while getting to know each other and learning the different cultures that exist on the team ranging from students coming from Latvia, Brazil, Japan, Nigeria, Jamaica, Wisconsin,Indiana, Chicago and a few local talent from Miami.
The Lady Sharks will play tip-off their season in early October vs She Hoops Academy.
