Last week Tuesday, February 20, 2018 was the last MDC women's basketball home game for four players. Sophomores Cheah Rael Whitsitt, Savannah Clark, Michelle Wright, and Jany Miranda played in their last home game against ASA College on Sophomore Night inside the Shark Tank. Before the game, Head Coach Susan Summons, Associate Head Coach Erica Redman, and the entire staff of MDC Athletics held a ceremony to honor Rael Whitsitt, Clark, Wright, and Miranda.
After the ceremony it was back to buisness; all four players helped lead the Lady Sharks to a victory against the Silver Storm. Miami Dade dominated and defeated ASA 108-50.
Although last Tuesady was the Lady Sharks' last time playing in a game inside the Shark Tank, the Lady Sharks will get to continue wearing the royal blue, black, and gray for another week. The Lady Sharks will travel to Ocala, FL next week Tuesday, February 6, 2018 to compete in the 2018 FCSAA Basketball State Tournament.
