Miami, FL-The FCSAA has acknowledged several players on the Miami Dade College Lady Sharks Women's Basketball Team for their play on the court during the 2016-17 season. Several players from MDC were named First Team All-Southern Conference and Second Team All –Southern Conference.
Sophomores, Jamaria Williams and Emporess James were named First Team All-Southern Conference. Freshmen, Cheah Rael-Whitsitt, JeTaun Rouse, and Savannah Clark were named Second Team All-Southern Conference.
The Lady Sharks overall record for the 2016-17 season was 16-14 and 6-6 in conference play. Women's Basketball finished fourth in conference.
