The Lady Sharks softball went to extra innings with South Florida State College Panther Friday afternoon in which ended with a final score of 6-4. batting in the bottom of the eighth when Larissa Shinkawa singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run along with Oskarely Ochoa scoring anothe run. Following that game the Sharks claim eight runs in the fourth inning led Miami Dade College Lady Sharks past South Florida State College 8-1 on Friday. The big inning was thanks to singles by Kaitlyn Perez, Oskarely Ochoa, and Thais Kawasaki, a triple by Melissa Mayeux, a sacrifice fly by Larissa Shinkawa, and a double by Eliza Artiles.
Arianna Arroyo was credited with the victory for Miami Dade College Lady Sharks. She surrendered one run on six hits over seven innings, striking out five.
Melissa Mayeux would not be denied at the plate when runners were on base on Saturday, driving in four on three hits to lead Miami Dade College Lady Sharks past Polk State College 9-5 on Saturday. Mayeux drove in runs on a triple in the first, a double in the second, and a double in the sixth. In the secomd game Miami Dade College Lady Sharks wins contest against Polk State College on Saturday, 10-5.
Miami Dade College Lady Sharks racked up ten hits. Eliza Artiles, Amber Dalfonso, and Perez each racked up multiple hits for Miami Dade College Lady Sharks 2019 Varsity. Artiles went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Miami Dade College Lady Sharks in hits. Miami Dade College Lady Sharks stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Artiles led the way with four.
