MDC Men's Basketball Team Battled Hard at FSW Classic fell short against Monroe College

On Saturday, December 9, the Miami Dade College (MDC) Men's Basketball team faced off against the Monroe College Mustangs in their second game at the FSW Classic. Despite putting up a valiant fight, the MDC Sharks were unable to secure a victory, with a final score of 67-71.

The game showcased the grit and determination of the MDC Sharks as they gave their all on the court. The team demonstrated their skill and versatility throughout the game, collecting 26 rebounds, 14 assists, seven steals, and one block.

Leading the charge in scoring was John Latimer, who contributed a remarkable 22 points to the team's effort. Latimer also showcased his all-around game with two rebounds, three assists, and one steal. Alaaeddine Boutayeb also displayed an outstanding performance, contributing 14 points, nine rebounds, and one block.

A standout player who made significant contributions in multiple areas was Ibrahim Zahran, who recorded a double-double with ten points, ten rebounds, five assists, and three blocks.

The Sharks conclude this tournament with an overall record of 1-1. As the season progresses, the MDC Sharks are determined to bounce back from this hard-fought loss.
