Darnell Dunn Signs with the Pepperdine Waves

Miami, FL-Sophomore Darnell Dunn signed his national letter of intent to Pepperdine University with Men's Basketball Head Coach Kevin Ledoux and Assistant Coach Ward Griffith in attendance. In his lone year at MDC, Dunn averaged 18.3 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 2.4 apg, and 1.4 spg. Before MDC, Dunn spent his first collegiate season at Queens University of Charlotte.

After making his decision on joining, the Pepperdine Waves Dunn shared his thoughts on Twitter: "First and for most I would like to thank God, without him none of this is possible. I want to give a special thanks to all my family, friends, coaches, and everyone who has believed in me from the very beginning. I want to say thank you to Coach Kevin Ledoux, Coach Ward Griffith, my teammates, and the Miami Dade College family for blessing me with a junior college experience of a lifetime. I would lastly like to give a huge thanks to all of the coaching staff who gave me a chance to join their programs. For the next 2 years, I have decided to further my education and basketball career under Coach Wilson and his staff at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA."

While at Miami Dade the sophomore, lead his team in points per game and was named All-Southern Conference First Team.

"Pepperdine is getting a great character guy that can really score it. Darnell is a competitor on the court and someone everyone likes to be around off the court," Sharks Head Coach Kevin Ledoux said.
