Miami Dade loses Game 1 to Bucs

The Miami Dade Sharks baseball team was defeated by the Florida Southwestern Buccaneers 6-2 on Thursday evening. The Sharks are now 24-22 on the year with the loss.

The Bucs got off to a quick start in this ballgame after a sacrifice fly by Michael McAloose made it 1-0 in the early going. Jared Davis would single and make it 2-0 in favor of Florida Southwestern in the third inning. 

In the bottom of the third inning, the Sharks tied things up after a solo homerun by Santiago Carriles- Alvarado and an RBI single by Geremy Garcia

Florida Southwestern answered back with a 4 spot in the fifth inning to put the game of out reach for Miami Dade. 

Enrique Sierra stepped on the bump for Miami Dade in this matchup as he would go four and a third allowing six hits and four runs, while walking four and striking out three. Reliever Brandon Vazquez would go three and two thirds allowing two hits and two runs while striking out three Bucs. Alex Pazos would come in for the last inning and strike out two.

The Sharks will travel across Alligator Alley in hopes of salvaging the series on Friday.
