Sharks win Game 2 against the Pioneers

The Miami Dade Sharks baseball team defeated the Indian River State College Pioneers 3-0 to tie the series up at one apiece on Saturday. The Sharks move to 24-19 on the year with the win.

Miami Dade struck first in this one after Thomas White clobbered his second homerun of the year, making it 2-0 in the top of the second. 

In the top of the sixth, D'Angelo Ortiz single to center field to drive in Michael Petite, giving the Sharks an insurance run heading into the last two innings of the ballgame.

Head Coach Lazaro Llanes handed the ball off to his ace Juan Miguel Fernandez, in a game which he delivered. The Cuban native would go all seven innings only allowing two hits and striking out four. Fernandez improved to 8-1 on the year with a 2.67 ERA.

Miami Dade will look to win the rubbermatch of the series when they take on the Pioneers at 4 PM.
