The Miami Dade Sharks baseball team defeated the Santa Fe Saints 10-0 Thursday afternoon. The Sharks are now an even 12-12 on the year.
Miami Dade struck first in this matchup in the fourth inning when a single by David Zamora drove in 2 runners.
They then scored their third run after an error by the Saints. Michael Petite would drive a run in with a walk and then a passed ball would allow the Sharks to score again.
Juan Miguel Fernandez took care of business on the mounds today tossing six and a third scoreless innings, striking out six and only allowing two hits.
The Sharks will look to stay in the win column as they take on Santa Fe again in a doubleheader this Saturday. The games are scheduled for 1 PM and 4 PM.
