Miami Dade defeats Seminole State 10-0

The Miami Dade Sharks went up to Sanford and took Game 1 of the 3 Game set against Seminole State in convincing fashion. The Sharks improve to 10-8 and while the Raiders drop to 11-5. 

Miami Dade used a seven run 3rd inning to their advantage on their way to victory. Maikol Perez got the barrage started by singling to left field driving in Carlos Jacome. Ortiz would follow up with an RBI single of his own to extend the lead to 2-0. 1st baseman Geremy Garcia then drove in 2 after a seeing eye single through the right side. A balk by the Raiders pitcher then drove in Keanu Rodriguez to extend the lead to 5. Jacome and Zamora would drive in 2 of their own to extend the Sharks lead to 7.

On the other side of the ball, Miami Dade would get a strong start from Juan Miguel Fernandez. Fernandez would throw 5 shutout innings, only allowing 1 hit and striking out 5. 

Seminole State will travel down to Miami to take on the Sharks for Game 2 and 3 of the series this weekend. The first game is scheduled for 12 PM on Saturday the 24th with the rubbermatch starting 45 minutes after.
